Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Wednesday on the eve of Independence Day that a new patriotic curriculum will be introduced in government schools next year to instill patriotism in the minds of students.
On the occasion of launching the ‘seventy-year Constitution’ campaign, he said that the decision has been taken during a meeting between him and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday. Sisodia also holds the charge of the state’s education minister. The campaign will run in all government schools and will end on 26 November as India adopted the Constitution on 26 November 1949.
Students of class VI to IX and class 11 will participate in this campaign. Kejriwal said in an event, ‘Usually we are reminded of our love for our country when there is a match between India-Pakistan or there is tension on the border. In everyday life, we forget our country. Bhakti course is being started so that every citizen can truly love his country. ‘

The Chief Minister said, ‘Our children will start working when they grow up and take bribe at some point, then they should feel that they have cheated their Mother India. When he breaks traffic rules, he feels that he has done wrong with his country. He said, ‘Children should be taught about the pride of the country. Every child should be made aware of his responsibilities and duties towards the country. There are hundreds of problems facing India. We are poor, our farmers are committing suicide. But who will solve all these problems? We need to find a solution.
